A Hardcore fan

Kevin Jones and Tenth World Music
Kevin Jones is an exciting young percussionist that has graced the stages the world over. Originally from Englewood, NJ, Kevin has been playing professionally since the age of 13 when he worked for All Platinum Records (now Sugar Hill records) in his hometown of Englewood. There he cut percussion tracks for groups like the "Moments" and even toured with some of their recording artists while still in school. At the age of 16 he joined a professional African dance & drum ensemble under the direction of master drummer and dancer, Titos Sompas. It was here that Kevin learned many of the traditional Rhythms and Songs from the Congo.

Kevin then went on to record and tour with R&B legends "The Isley Brothers". This proved to be one of Kevin's longest lasting gigs, spanning thirteen years. He also had the distinct privilege of touring with world-renowned singer, Whitney Houston. More recently Kevin, has continued to stick close to his roots of Jazz and Traditional African and Neo-African music by playing with many artists such as Talib Kibwe, Winard Harper, Babatunde Lea, Clifford Adams and now Reggie Workman. Kevin still can be found playing traditional African music with Malaki Ma Congo Drum and Dance Ensemble.

The Website of Brian Horton
Brian Horton is a composer, saxophonist, producer and studio engineer from Kinston, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina Central University with a BA in jazz performance in the Spring of 1997. Two years later he obtained his MA at the Aaron Copeland School of Music in Queens, New York under the direction of Jimmy Heath and the late Sir RolandHanna. Since that time he has kept a steady balance of work as a bandleader, sideman and composer/arranger for such renowned jazz musicians as Hanna, Winard Harper, Louie Bellson and Clark Terry. Horton is an extremely versatile player who opens his ears to many genres of music. His playing is known for his attention to detail and melody, especially in his ballads. Horton’s sound is lush and soulful yet filled with a quiet fire when needed. Though a technically competent player, he prefers to speak more than just his vast vocabulary on his instrument. Instead, he tells the story. No matter what tempo, setting or tune he finds room to speak the blues, a characteristic often overlooked by many young horn players today. His work can be sited with Winard Harper, Kevin Jones(10th World), producer Just Blaze(Snoop Dogg, Memphis Bleek) Esoterica, Me'Shell Ndegéocello and DJ Carl Craig to name a few. His music has been featured in several independent documentaries for Columbia and Stanford Universities, ESPN, FootLocker and director Spike Lee. Best by far, this young lion is as entertaining to watch as he is to hear on record.

Damon Warmack
By picking up a bass guitar on Christmas Day of 1991, Damon Warmack embarked upon a journey that would take him from Detroit's east side to Asia (Japan), Europe (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Slovokia and Russia), Canada, New York, Los Angeles and a few places in between.

Early influences such as Earth, Wind & Fire, George Duke, Marcus Miller, The Brothers Johnson, Frank Zappa, Branford Marsalis and John Patitucci helped guide Damon through the seemingly unrelated worlds of Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B, Afro-Cuban and beyond.

Damon has shared stage and/or studio with Fransico Mora Catlett, Pamela Wise, Wendell Harrison, Calvin Brooks, Stephanie Mills, Orchestra Fuego, Thornetta Davis, Vincent Herring, Fred Hammond, Gary Thomas, Inohs Sivad, Kelvin Sholar's Esoterica, Bujo Kevin Jones' 10th World, Mathias, Q-Tip, Ronnie Cuber, Harold McKinney, The Edge, Alexander O'Neal, Shelby-Brown, Amp Fiddler, Brian O'Neal, Straight Ahead, Lenny White and Stevie Wonder just to name a few.

He's also participated in plays such as Dreamgirls, Anne Of Green Gables, MasterMixx, Perlie, Unforgettably, The Great One, Strong Women Keep Coming and Black Nativity.
